About the Position:

  • Deliver essential hands-on care to patients with diverse medical and mental health needs, assisting with daily activities like bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
  • Monitor vital signs and report changes to nurses promptly, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
  • Offer emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a positive and therapeutic environment.
  • Assist with transferring and positioning patients with respect and care, prioritizing their comfort and dignity.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment in patient rooms and common areas, upholding hygiene standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with nurses, physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.

Qualifications:

  • Active CNA certification in California.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building trust and rapport with patients and colleagues.
  • Strong empathy and a patient-centered approach to care, understanding individual needs and respecting diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating seamlessly with healthcare professionals.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift and move patients with assistance.
  • Knowledge of mental health principles and practices a plus.
