Technoblade Technoblade, a YouTube character who gained millions of followers through his humorous comments on videos of him playing Minecraft, has passed away His father announced the news through a video posted on his son's YouTube account.

Technoblade's Minecraft gameplay was watched by more than 11 million players. He was a commentator on camera. While he usually focused on what was happening in the game, in certain videos, he described things that are as routine as going to the D.M.V. or as devastating as a cancer diagnosis.

Technoblade's YouTube channel posted a video entitled "so long geeks" on Thursday. The video was seen more than 26 million times as of Friday afternoon. The video is an exception to the channel's usual aesthetic, which features colorful, pixelated bricks. John's blog Instead the man who identified himself as Technoblade's father appears sitting in a chair against a stark white backdrop, with an adorable white dog on his lap.

His father, who doesn't identify himself, reads an email from his son that begins: "Hello everyone. Technoblade here. If you're watching this, I am dead."

The message goes on to reveal Technoblade's initial name, Alex, which he did not use online. The video also contains some images of Alex with loved ones. He hasn't often presented himself in his YouTube videos, preferring to portray himself as his character: a crowned and sword-wielding pig.

"If I had another hundred lives, I think I would prefer to be Technoblade again every single time," Alex's letter says. "Those were the most joyful years of my life."

His father, who is in tears throughout the video, says that the two of them had been discussing for months whether to film a final movie. Instead, Alex decided to write the letter and died around eight hours after finishing the letter, according to his father.

He adds, "I don’t think he was able to say everything he wanted, but I think that he got the main points."

The video ends with a written declaration that Alex's mother (who is not identified) wrote. She said that Alex was not famous and self-deprecating, despite his channel growing in popularity.

"From Technoblade's very first days on the internet, he was constantly thinking of ways to please and reward his followers by offering online prizes in the name of encouraging sportsmanship and, perhaps most importantly, sharing his Minecraft adventures to entertain and laugh," she wrote.

Alex's family was unable to reach him on Friday. Hypixel, a gaming company that worked with Technoblade and Alex's family, confirmed that Alex's family had requested comments not be sent to them. Don Pireso, the company administrator, stated in a direct tweet that "The video they shared includes all the information they are confident about sharing."

Alex first publicly acknowledged his cancer diagnosis in a video posted to his channel in August. Like the others, the video included the game as he was speaking off camera. He retained his self-deprecating, humorous style, refusing to be too serious. He also revealed his age at the time, 22.

In the video, he explained how the first round chemotherapy left him exhausted to the point that he could barely sit up to make a virtual appointment with a doctor. He then joked "Sitting in the chair do I look like Superman?"

He said he was diagnosed after he experienced severe discomfort in his arm. He initially dismissed it as a repetitive stress injury due to playing video games, but even after several days of rest, he stated that his shoulder "was swelling like a tiger."

He also advised people to get the vaccine Covid-19. He claimed that his treatment for cancer had weakened the immune system, which made him more susceptible to serious illness from the coronavirus.

He said, "I'm going ahead and represent all cancer patients when I say it is incredibly irritating when hospitals are overwhelmed by people who are suffering from preventable diseases." "I'm just declaring that we are the first priority for those hospital beds.

Technoblade's fans, friends and followers on social media have praised him for his humor and also for being an example for Minecraft players.

Minecraft is distinct from other games because its creator, Microsoft does not have control over the servers on which players can connect online. Instead, players are able to create their own servers and join others to create a vast universe of worlds within the Minecraft universe.

Hypixel which manages a network of Minecraft servers, announced that it had designed a digital memorial book that allows users to write messages that could be printed and then sent to Technoblade's family. The tribute featured a photo of Technoblade's pig avatar, as a statue. The company stated that Technoblade's success is tied in numerous ways to the success and success of many people.
