Minecraft's annual event started out as an event, but then shifted to streaming-only events in 2017 in a bid to keep the intimate atmosphere to draw a larger audience. The event is now returning to the in-person experience and offers more information. The rebranded Minecraft Festival is now slated to be held in Orlando's Orange County Convention Center between September 25th and September 27th, with tickets available starting on March 6th at 12pm Eastern. Ipagd's blog Mojang and Microsoft have promised plenty of activities as well as hearing the most recent Minecraft news. Tickets are available starting on March 6th, at 12PM Eastern.

Tickets start at $60 for a single day pass and $165 for three days. Additionally, everyone who attends will receive an in-game Minecraft Festival cap that works with both Bedrock and Java. Like most conventions, however, there are incentives to pay more. A $225 Gold package grants you early access to panels, exhibits and the store, while people who buy the $300 Diamond package also gain access to a special lounge, a personal bag and coat check, as well as a unique pin and lanyard.

This is a good thing if you miss the days of meeting creators and fellow fans. However, Microsoft is taking a chance with the ongoing coronavirus outbreak. While September is only seven months away, it's unlikely that the outbreak will be under control by the time it's over. The Minecraft Festival will likely go ahead, but you might want to be cautious about planning your life around it.
