The idea of Sleepets Tag is inspired by Apple AirTag, in fact, this was the main feature. So that you don't need another app to find your dog or cat, so that you don't have to remove the tracker, so that it doesn't disturb the animal, is not susceptible to moisture, is difficult to break or damage, and so that it works as long as possible. And also that the tag includes absolutely all the information that will help you find the lost animal - from the phone number to vaccinations, allergens and trusted persons.
Actually, when Apple AirTag was introduced, it was a matter of time when a tracker for animals would appear or the tracker itself would be adapted to search for animals. We have collars on our website that allow you to place a brand label for searching, special covers, etc. in them. But the problem is that AirTag is quite expensive. In addition, there are not many customization options. You cannot add all the information that the person who found your pet needs to the AirTag. And, most likely, such a tag will be stolen.
Sleepets Tag is unique in that it actually includes everything you need and is fully optimized for finding an animal.
Design and Capabilities
Sleepets Tag is made of plastic with aluminum edges. The plus is that even if the dog somehow removes and bites the tag, it will remain intact, as well as the internal components, the speaker, which allows you to track the tracker.
The device is not afraid of water, so you can bathe your pet and not remove the tag, and your pet can get caught in the rain or swim with the tag. Nothing will happen to him. Of course, I don't recommend submerging it to a great depth (more than 30 meters) for a long time, because there may be problems with the speaker. Although, if you dry it afterwards, you can use the tag again.
The kit comes with a battery and a convenient clip (let's call it that), which allows you to open the tracker and put the battery in it. Without this clip, opening the cover and accessing the battery is very difficult. Only you can reset the tracker by untying it from your Apple ID. It is also impossible to turn it off, except to get the battery.
The kit also includes an eco-leather strap so you can hang the tracker on any collar.
Please note: Sleepets advises wearing the tracker as an address tag on a separate collar that will be on the dog/cat at all times. Since the battery does not need charging, the device can be constantly on the animal. It does not emit radiation and does not affect the animal's health in any way. This is necessary simply to protect yourself from situations when the dog ran out of the house on its own, or the cat got out through the window.
Customization
One of the most interesting stories, in my opinion. Because you can not only add your number and the name of the dog/cat, you can add a photo or any picture. For example, just dogs or you and your dog - yes, if the tracker is lost, there will be proof that it is yours and it is less likely that someone will appropriate it.
What's more, you get a tracker with a unique QR code. After scanning it for the first time, you are given access to edit the "passport" of the animal.
You can add:
- Name of the dog, as well as nicknames, gender
- Your name, how to contact you
- Allergens, animal habits
- Your address, telephone number, post office
- Animal photo
- Breed, date of birth
- Vaccination
- Diseases

Connection and Settings
The tracker works like Apple AirTag. It has similar capabilities, but no U1, which you really don't need in this regard, for a dog.
To connect it, you need to put a battery, and then:
- Open Locator on your iPhone;
- Go to the "Things" tab;
- Add new thing "Not Apple AirTag";
- Wait until the tracker is recognized;
- Connect to it and configure.
How does Sleepets Tag work and what is its range?
Since the tracker is tied to the FindMy network, its range is limited to available Apple devices around. This is very good for big cities, because virtually everyone has an iPhone.
Bad for an open area where there aren't many Apple devices. For example, a forest or mountains, a beach - there may be difficulties here. But even then, the tracker will record the point where it last contacted any Apple device.
The tracker has a speaker to (if suddenly the animal takes it off or loses it) find the tag. If necessary, you can put it in loss mode. Send the search information to a friend (if he will be closer to the animal than you).
Battery and Runtime
The tag can work for up to a year on one battery. Of course, it all depends on how often you use, say, voice search, because that drains the tracker the most. A big plus is charge tracking in the Locator. Once the battery is below 10%, you can replace it and continue using it again.
Well, let's say a word about the fact that batteries for the tracker can be bought at almost any store like Walmart, they cost up to $1 apiece. Even abroad, you can find them, moreover, there it will be more convenient for you to track your pet on Apple Maps and immediately plan a route to him.

This tag is definitely not the most innovative pet tracking device out there. It has no GPS and is basically this simple tracker a la AirTag. But Sleepets tried to make it as focused as possible on the average user who has a dog or a cat at home.
